Greetings!  I am glad you are interested in joining LFYC!  In order to become a member you need to do an audition.  Don't worry!! It isn't very difficult and is just a chance for me to meet you and see how awesome you are.  In the audition I will be listening for your best high and low notes, your tone, and how well you match pitch.  This will help me decide which section of the choir best fits you and our needs.

During the audition I would like to hear you sing me a song.  I often recommend America (My Country tis of Thee), or America the Beautiful.  You can learn either of these songs by looking it up on youtube.  Don't worry about memorizing it. I can give you the words at the autidion, and I only need to hear one verse. You can also choose another song that you are comfortable singing or that you have done in the past.

We will also sing some musical patterns back from the piano, clap back some rhythms that I clap to you, and sing Row Row Row Your Boat in a round.  If you don't know what that is, don't worry, I'll teach you how.

Below you will find some other important information about LFYC.

I look forward to hearing you!

Mr. Brown
